About Us
The story of JAMJAK began in 2016 when co-founders James and Jake decided to channel their entrepreneurial spirit into a new venture. At the time, the duo was already operating a successful martial arts business, Traditional Karate and Fitness Ltd.
Following careful planning, JAMJAK Ltd was officially launched. The two partners successfully co-managed the company until a strategic restructuring in 2018. To allow both businesses to reach their full potential, James and Jake agreed to a mutual buyout.
Today, both businesses continue to thrive independently under dedicated leadership:

Jake retains full ownership of the martial arts business, which has since been rebranded as Ronin Karate.
2022: Thinking Outside the Container
As our reputation for excellent service grew, so did the demand for our facilities. By 2022, JAMJAK had reached maximum land capacity at our sites. With no physical room left to place more containers, we looked for innovative ways to bring more value to our customers.
This turning point inspired the launch of JAMJAK Van Hire.
We realised that finding secure storage is only half the battle, sometimes getting your belongings to the container can be a challenge. To create a truly seamless experience, we introduced our own fleet of moving vehicles.
Today, JAMJAK offers a hassle-free and cost effective moving solution. Our customers enjoy the ultimate convenience of renting a secure storage unit and booking a reliable moving van all under one roof, making moving in and out easier than ever before.
Growth has always been part of the JAMJAK DNA, and in 2023, an incredible new chapter began. James entered into business discussions with the Barnwell brothers, who presented a massive opportunity to scale the business by an impressive 45%.
Following months of planning, preparation, and groundwork, this vision became reality in December 2024 with the official launch of our new site: The Barnwell Depot.
The expansion was met with immediate, overwhelming demand from local residents and businesses in need of premium, secure storage. By May 2025, the Barnwell Depot reached full capacity, fully fitted with 35 brand-new, high-specification storage containers and welcoming 35 happy new customers to the JAMJAK family. This rapid milestone solidified our position as a leading storage provider, proven to deliver clean, highly secure, and accessible space when our community needs it most.

James is the founder and director of JAMJAK, a venture he proudly launched at the age of 24.
Outside of the business, James is deeply passionate about fitness. Whether he's hitting the gym in Norwich or practicing karate, a sport he has dedicated himself to since the age of 10, he brings discipline, focus, and drive to everything he does.
